When does registration open and how much does it cost?
Registration for the Haifa Marathon 2026 is open via the registration page embedded on the site. Prices are structured in three tiers (presale / standard / late): full marathon ₪230/250/270, half marathon ₪170/190/210, 10 km ₪130/145/160, 5 km ₪120/130/140, 2.5 km ₪70/75/80 and the students race ₪40/50/60. The earlier you register, the less you pay - places are limited. Haifa residents enjoy a 20% discount.
Which races are there and what are the distances?
The event offers six races to choose from: full marathon 42.195 km, half marathon 21.1 km, 10 km, 5 km, 2.5 km and a 1 km students race. The marathon and the half are the long-distance races, while the 5 km, 2.5 km and students race suit the whole family. All races take place on the same day, 20 November 2026.
What are the start times for each race?
Start times: half marathon (21.1 km) at 06:45, full marathon (42.195 km) at 07:15, 10 km at 09:00, 5 km at 10:00, 2.5 km at 10:45 and the students race (1 km) at 11:15. The start area and Expo open at 05:00 at Dado Beach, Haifa. The full schedule appears on the schedule page.
What is the minimum age for each race?
The minimum age varies by distance: full marathon from age 18, half marathon from age 16, 10 km from age 14, 5 km from age 12, while the 2.5 km and students races are open to all ages. Age is determined by year of birth, and minors require parental consent during registration.
Where is the race held, and where are the start and finish?
The Haifa Marathon is held in the city of Haifa, along Haifa Bay with the Carmel ridge as a backdrop. The start and finish area is at Dado Beach, Haifa. Course maps for the full marathon, half marathon, 10 km and 5 km are available on the course page, including elevation profiles and water stations. The 2.5 km and 1 km courses will be published later.
How do I register and how do I use a discount code?
You register through the registration page on the site, where a secure registration system is embedded - select a race, fill in your details and pay online. If you have a discount code, enter it in the dedicated field on the registration form and click "Apply coupon" so the discount takes effect. Discounts cannot be applied retroactively after registration is complete.
Is there a discount for Haifa residents?
Yes - city residents enjoy a 20% discount on the registration fee. To receive it, send a photo of your ID card address slip confirming residence in Haifa via the contact page and follow the instructions on the registration page.
What does the race kit include and when is it collected?
The race kit includes a bib number with a chip and further surprises, and is collected in advance at the event venue in the days before the race - kits will not be distributed on race day itself. The finisher medal is presented at the finish line after completing the race. An official event shirt is available for purchase for an additional ₪40 during registration.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?

Is there a time limit (cutoff) to finish the race?
The course officially closes at 12:30 - this is the cutoff time and the end of the event. The course is designed to be accessible to beginner runners aiming to finish within this window.
Is there parking and public transport for the event?
Parking and public transport arrangements for the event will be published on the runner information page ahead of the race. On the morning of the event, traffic changes and special arrangements are expected around the start area, so we recommend arriving early and following updates on the site.
